Computer Essentials

So you want to learn to code and create your own games?
CPU The first and probably most important component in your computer is the CPU, also known as the Central Processing Unit. Basically it does all of the thinking in the computer
RAM Next up is the RAM also known as the Random Application Memory. RAM is a certain amount of memory your computer has for random applications. The more RAM you have used up, the slower your computer may run. For example, some computers have 8 gigabytes of RAM and some have 16 gigabytes of RAM and that goes up to 256 gigabytes of RAM or even more. But that depends on how much you are willing to spend on RAM.
GPU Next up we have the GPU otherwise known as the graphics card. This part is optional for a pc, all it does is help your performance in video games and coding video games and in testing them.
Motherboard After that we have the motherboard, which as it sounds, is a place where all of the components come together.
PSU After that we have the power supply. How many watts your computer needs depends on how powerful your components are. This can vary from 100watts to over 1000 watts; the PSU or Power Supply is basically what powers your computer.
Case and Cooling The final essential is a case where you can put all of the components in. You may also need a CPU cooler, thermal paste and a case with many fans to cool down your computer at any time.
